Happy last Friday of 2011! Seriously, I am not sure where the last few weeks of this year went. I feel like since October, this year has flown by! I am taking another rest day today, which I think is much appreciated by my body. Tomorrow is my last 20 miler before the Houston Marathon!
While I’m gearing up for my 20 miler, a lot of people are gearing up for their big night out on the town.
And, a lot of people are making New Year’s Resolutions. Do you make any? If you are trying to lose weight, check out Weight Loss Wars. It sounds really neat! You sign up and join competitions against others to keep you motivated to reach your weight goals. If you are competitive like me, this is such an AWESOME idea!
The Container Store is already on it by calling 2012 the Year of Organization. Yep, no arguments there. I was actually watching Dr. Oz the other day (I think it’s a pre-req to watch if you are off work) and he had some super smart lady on who was saying that clutter in your home reflects how you feel inside, so if your home is really messy it can mean that you are confused and disorganized in your heart. And having a cluttered home can make you heavier than you should be. Such an interesting analysis.
But back to 2011. So this time of year, there are 2,764 articles about the “best of” the year. (Check out my thoughts on the best book of 2011!) I do think this could quite possibly be the best quote of the year:
“I am on a drug. It’s called ‘Charlie Sheen.’ It’s not available because if you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.” — Actor Charlie Sheen
