LILTUNECHI LOVE

Do you ever wake up with a song in your head in the morning? I don’t get how it happens unless we subconsiously attend concerts or something.

I woke up with “HYFR” by Drake featuring Lil’ Wayne in my head this morning.

It is a great song but kinda annoying when you don’t know any of the lyrics minus “hell yeah”… and that’s all you repeat over and over again. You have to check out the music video with Lil’ Wayne because he is wearing some crazy funky outfit. Ha, love it.

I came across my “favorite” person ever on my run this morning. And the quotes indicate sarcasm. Now, I don’t want you to get the wrong idea… I applaud people who go out and run. I think it’s awesome if you are out there and dedicating your time to your health. But there’s this one guy that I come across in the park here and there that I just want to punch in the face.

When he runs, he punches the air and screams out random stuff. I’m not saying yells, but SCREAMS. Like you can hear him at least a quarter mile away. He yells stuff like YEAHHHHHH and GET IT, GET IT. He even starts to rap outloud, to no beat and it sounds awful. I think he’s a boxer by nature and just runs for cross training. But I really don’t like him. One time, I caught up to him (my pace was just faster than him) and went to pass him, but he kept speeding up… but then he would completely die out and have to stop, and next thing I know he was sprinting by me.

But I mean seriously dude, it’s like 6:30 in the morning. On a Monday. Feel free to be pumped up and yell and stuff, but keep the decibel level to a minimum.

So part of my thoughts during my run were like this: Wow it’s so nice out to GET IT GET IT GET IT … Ugh, what should I do for lun YEAHHHHH

Seriously, you would want to punch him in the face too.

Have you ever woken up with a song in your head? Do you ever see people that just annoy you when you run?

haha Sorry that obnoxious guy ruined your calm morning run! Chapel Hill is full of pretty decent runners, but I do get a little annoyed when guys feel that need to run shirtless when it is obviously not THAT hot out. Yes, your abs are great. No, I would not like to see them as a walk to class in November.

I want to see this guy. I WOULD probably punch him in the face.

I always have Ace of Base – "I saw the Sign" in my head. Even though the last time I listened to it was probably in 1996. RIDICULOUS!

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wakes up with her songs in her head! I don't even know how they get there!! p.s. punch the guy and run away fast. call it sprint training ;-) okay maybe wait till after Boston for that one..

hahaha I feel like it would be funny the first time you saw him…but then get totally annoying two seconds later. Especially with the whole racing you/not letting you pass him thing. HATE THAT…it's like those guys who grunt loudly at the gym. And rap while watching themselves in the mirror. Yes, I've seen that before!

My female friends and I had a long conversation on our last long run about guys who speed up when you pass them, especially in a race. Some guys act like it's a chink in their armor to be passed by a woman, especially if you're older than them. I love it when you pass one, they speed up, and can't hold the pace. However, it doesn't bother me when guys sprint pas
t me at the finish line. I like to think I spurred them on to a PR!

As for the screamer, there used to be a guy like that at the gym. He would run on the treadmill plugged in to his music and YELL out very off-key song lyrics. I thought he was a show-off.

Haha! I always wake up with the absolute most random songs stuck in my head!

The people that annoy me are usually the ones I can't see like the runner who stays right behind me in a race breathing heavily so I have to speed up my own race pace just to have my own quiet space again!!!!
