Happy Friday the 13th! I think of Friday the 13th as a lucky day… what about you? Maybe it’s just because I really like the number 13. But I wish you the best of luck today!
How do I leave for Boston tomorrow?! It’s so crazy how the past few weeks have gone by so fast. I will have one more post tomorrow… my goals for Boston!
One thing I’m excited about for Boston is we are going to check out Alberto Salazar’s book signing at the Boston Public Library on Sunday, where he’ll discuss his new book “14 Minutes.”
Dick Beardsley is expected to make an appearance, too. Have you read “Duel in the Sun“? Because you really need to. This marks the 30th year since the 1982 race where Dick and Alberto battled it out until the finish. Absolutely amazing. Incredible to think that a race that is 26.2 miles long can determine the winner by mere seconds.
Did you hear about the baby in Argentina? The hospital proclaimed her dead, and when the parents went to say their final goodbyes 10 hours later, they found that she was alive. After being in a morgue refrigerator. And she’s a premie that weighs one pound 12 ounces. Can you say incredible?! That’s absolutely amazing.
Have you checked out Ridiculously Photogenic Guy?
I wish I looked that great while I ran! Apparently he is having a lot of fun. And just think, for the people around him, they’ve instantly become just as famous. Note: Do not expect a similar picture from me at Boston. Ha.
