YES I finally got a nice five mile run in and I feel like my old self again! I must admit that my legs were slightly rusty this morning when I got started, but once I hit the hills, it felt great. I feel less stressed out and definitely not as overwhelmed by my to do list.
So last night I was still chugging along on the invites (officially sending out the first batch today, and hopefully finishing the second and final batch tonight!):
…which meant I really didn’t have a lot of time to cook dinner so we decided on pizza. I tried Amy’s Gluten-Free Margherita Pizza.
I actually thought it was pretty good! But I’m one of those weirdos that actually likes most of this gluten-free stuff. Most of it has a different texture, which takes a little getting used to, but the taste doesn’t bother me at all. Phew, because I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t have the old stand by of a BLT on a Saturday afternoon.
Oh, and in the midst of searching for some supplies for invites, I came across these in one of our drawers (apparently we kind of need to clean out our office supplies?):
I love using typewriters. I always feel like I’m one step away from being a famous author when I type on it… not sure why.
But it makes me wonder… have kids today even experienced what it’s like to type on one? Or even know what they are? Kinda like they have no idea what a floppy disk is… weird. I bet you can’t even find these labels in the store. Which might make them an antique and maybe worth seven cents in about five years.
Have you tried gluten-free pasta or bread… and do you like it? What’s one of your favorite things that kids today have no idea it even exists?
