I am so excited that I am sore today! OK, maybe that sounds super weird but I love when I get sore after a race. I think it is a good representation that I pushed it (not saying that if you aren’t sore that you didn’t work hard either!). Or maybe its from the burpee challenge as well?! Anyways, this might be a super random post, but I feel like I just have to share with you things that I am totally in love with right now.

 

1. Watermelon
On Friday, I bought the first watermelon of the season.

 

I love watermelon! In Florida, I used to snack on it before running and I think it helped to keep my core cool. Oddly, I’m not the only one who loves watermelon in our house.

 

As soon as I slice into a new watermelon, he comes RUNNING… I think because he can smell it. I asked our vet about it and she said that it’s fine to give him a little bit and that it’s a cooling food, so apparently he likes to cool down his core too.

2. Burpee challenge
Yes, I’m kind of loving this challenge. It’s amazing how out of breath I am when I do these, but I know that it will pay off in the long run! I’m supposed to try out CrossFit for the first time at the beginning of June and I know that I need to get myself in shape before I go. I have cardio nailed but my arm muscles definitely need help. T-Rex Syndrome, anyone?

3. Greek Yogurt
It took me awhile to get on this bandwagon, but I absolutely love this stuff now.

 

Before I went gluten free, a lot of my snacks were filled with carbs… and I kind of struggled once I stopped eating it with what I was going to snack on. But, Greek yogurt is an amazing solution! I am trying out several different brands and will post the results of my challenge this week.

 

4. Wedding planning
We have less than five months before our wedding! I feel like we can start working on some of the bigger stuff. One of my friends is adventuring around Asia (jealous) and hasn’t seen the invites yet, but as soon as she gets hers, I’ll post the full view of what they look like. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek.

 

Today I am going to start designing the programs… they are going to look like passports! So excited.

 

5. Potatoes
My dad used to always make fried potatoes with dinner when I was younger and I was always a potato snob, refusing to eat them unless they were mashed or in french fry form. But I am totally obsessed with roasted potatoes.

 

I like mixing them with olive oil, pepper and any vegetables in our kitchen. Delicious.
