Yesterday, I felt like this:
If you don’t watch Friends, you need to watch season 4, episode 4 to get this… well, you just need to watch all 10 seasons because it is the greatest show. Ever. Anyways, I had to text Kara yesterday so a fellow Friends fanatic could understand what I meant when I said I felt like Chandler trying to quit the gym. But more on that in another post.
I woke up a little late this morning (actually, I was busy reading Corrie Anne’s exciting announcement that she quit her job! Congrats!) so I only had time for a 4 miler (and noticed there’s a new CrossFit box in the neighborhood!). It turns out, 4 is a good number today because I also did 4 minutes worth of planks. I did 30 seconds on each side, plus in the middle (“normal”). I also did some ball wall squats.
So, I thought these babies would be pretty easy.
I could only make it 30 seconds at a time and I was pretty sure my legs were going to shake themselves right off my body.
I ended up doing 3 reps of 30 seconds.
Yes, I’m very weak!
If I do these everyday, I’m convinced I’ll have legs stronger than Superman and Spider-Man combined.
Speaking of which, Spider-Man comes out tonight! We were going to try to do the midnight showing but because
it’s past our bedtime we have nothing to do tomorrow, we’re going to see it tomorrow instead. Plus, it’s supposed to be like 90-some degrees again so we can leech off the movie theatre for some free A/C.
And, I saw this quote this morning and have to pass it on… it is SO true! It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are, whether you run marathons or 5ks or if you’ve run for years or just started… running is all about YOU and challenging yourself.
