You guys need to head over to Slim Sanity and Run Principessa right now. I have some fun guest posts! You can learn all about finding your running mojo andsome fun workouts that you can do in your kitchen (if, like me, it’s the biggest room in your apartment).
Second of all, before I get to the meat of this post… the winner of the Aquaphor giveaway!
Congratulations, Tabathia! Please email me at bklynrunning (at) gmail.com and we’ll get your prize out to you. Thank you to all who entered, another giveaway coming soon!
So this morning I woke up before the sun to meet up with Ashley to head over to Bryant Park for a Fitness Boot Camp session with Alyse and Jamie from FitApproach!
We also learned that they apparently close Bryant Park. Jamie did a great job of improvising and found lots of killer workouts for us to do on the stairs and on the streets of New York (no evil glares yet, it wasn’t busy enough!). She had us doing planks, lunges, planks and did I mention planks? Towards the end of the work out, the security guard finally let us in. Which was great, because now I can mark “do a fitness class in the park” off my NYC bucket list.
We also got a great goodie bag FULL of awesome stuff like Rebootizer (remember how much I love this stuff?), bcalm wellness drink (haven’t tried yet) and Sweat Pink laces.
Overall, it was a fun morning and a good way to get an early start on the day. If you are in NYC tomorrow morning and want 1) a good workout and 2) some free goodies, RSVP on the Eventbrite page and head on over to Bryant Park in the AM.
Have you ever done a fitness class in the park before? How do you keep your energy up throughout the day after an early morning? (<– I need these tips since tomorrow is an even EARLIER morning than today if you can believe it, yikes)

I thought that was your picture from this morning on their FB page
Haha yep! They got me in a few of them
Looks like so much fun!! I wish I knew of all the fitness enthusiasts in my area…other than the one other guy who is always in the apartment gym in the mornings with me!
Hhah you could start your own club with him! LOL! MeetUp is a good place but beware, there are some weirdos on there… but if you go into it knowing that, it is a good way to learn more about the area and meet people.
