SAPPY SUNDAY: BRIDAL SHOWER

Welcome to another edition of Sappy Sunday!

So far, posts have included:

When we first started planning our destination wedding, I said I didn’t want any of the traditional parties. No need for a bridal shower nor a bachelorette party. Mostly because everyone is spread about the country so it just seemed impossible to get everyone together for a party, especially when everyone is already traveling down to Jamaica for our wedding.

Well, when we got our Ragnar team together, it just seemed like a good idea to turn it into a mini-bachelorette party (especially since it’s two weeks before the wedding). And, my sister asked me if I wanted a bridal shower to celebrate with family back in Wisconsin since many of them aren’t able to make it to Jamaica.

So, my untraditional destination wedding started to look a little more traditional.

My sister loves Pampered Chef, and admittedly, I have never purchased anything from them (not that I haven’t wanted to!). So, she got in contact with her consultant and threw me a Pampered Chef Bridal Shower! It was such a fun event. The consultant had some fun bridal shower-esque questions and of course, cooked some amazing food with the Pampered Chef gear. It was great to catch up with friends and family while filling them in on the details of our wedding.

I even got a bridal apron with all of my guests’ signatures!

Overall, it was a great day — I just wish I didn’t have to run out on the fun to catch a flight back to NYC. It was a wonderful chance to catch up with family that I don’t see that often.

What’s the best bridal shower you’ve ever been to? Are you a Pampered Chef fan? What’s your favorite item?
