I’ve whined about this before and I’ll whine again: I absolutely hate traveling for work. HATE. It’s my least favorite. I feel like all I’ve been doing for the past two days is working non-stop. And it’s annoying.

This morning I woke up early and managed to snag the last treadmill in the fitness center. Kudos to all of you treadmill runners. I just don’t know how you do it! I get SO bored and change my goals as I go. Janae at Hungry Runner Girl posted some tips on how to beat boredom on the treadmill and let me tell you, they were a lifesaver today.

She suggests changing your pace or incline once a minute, but I tried to do it once every .25 miles. It seemed to help A LOT. I was planning on doing more (did 3.5 miles) but my hamstrings were still surprisingly sore from Sunday’s long run and I overestimated how much time I would have in the morning. Boo. Tomorrow we have an early start but I’m hoping to bang out some miles early early.

So, I am in meetings all morning and then jet out to the airport to catch a flight back to NYC. I land at 5:43 p.m. and am being taken to my office to drop my stuff off, where I’ll meet C and we are headed to an Aviici concert at Radio City. Then Thursday I have a day of conference calls before I get picked up by my Ragnar teammates and we head towards the mountains. I cannot believe that Ragnar is THIS WEEKEND!

I must admit that this week has been stressful because there was a lot of wedding stuff I had to get done, and instead, I’m stuck in a hotel room hundreds of miles away. But, I am trying to not worry about the stuff that you can’t change — it is what it is.
