GETTING PUMPED FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Is it just me, or is it crazy that next week is November? Granted I know we were on vacation for much of October (can I go back to that, please?), but I cannot believe how fast time is flying.
I love this time of year, though. For me, it’s perfect running weather. You can’t beat a chilly morning for a run! Plus it’s marathon season — the best type of season. And, the city is beautiful this time of year (mostly because you don’t turn into a sweatball if you try to do anything). The holiday spirit is really catching here and I swear people are slightly nicer. You know, only pushing you three times on the subway instead of five.
Not to mention, there is finally a reason to waste away time on Pinterest since you need to find the most creative recipe for the cookie exchange or upcoming holiday potluck dinner.
So I’m not trying to forget that Halloween is happening and rushing ahead to the holiday season, but I think it’s really cool that a few bloggers have come together to host a fun ornament exchange! It’s not just for bloggers so if you don’t blog, don’t stop reading.
I’m in and I think you should think about joining too.
Nothing beats getting into the holiday spirit with some random gift exchanges! You can learn more on Gina’s blog.
What are your favorite things about this time of year? Have you done an ornament exchange before?

That is definitely a neat idea! And believe me, after seeing all the Christmas stuff in Target I'm ready to move on to the next holiday as well
They already have the Christmas stuff up? Wow, that's quick!
I love the weather and the fact that it is marathon season too! It is weird to think that next week is November. My husband's birthday is on 11/3 and I just ordered his gift on Monday. I can't wait to give it to him. Then for Thanksgiving we are going to my parent's house in OR for 5 whole days. I am so excited to see them!
That sounds like a great trip to OR! I'm sure he'll love the gift
I looooove Christmas decorations. I have never gone a year without a Christmas tree….even though last year was like a 4 foot tall fake one.
haha
Hahah that still counts!! I think ours is only 3' tall
I am so excited for the holidays too and can't wait to eat pies and stuffing on Thanksgiving
I love food.
And I LOVE running in this weather/season.. its the best!
Stuffing is the BEST! I used to make it in college as my dinner… hahah
