How come holidays and vacations always go by so fast? It seems like I was just writing about how it was time to go on vacation, and already I’m back in our apartment after recovering from a 5:00 a.m. wake-up call due to a 7:30 a.m. flight.
For some reason, the airline booked two flights at the exact same time going to the exact same airport so we were delayed slightly since a lot of people were confused by what was going on. It would be so much easier if they’d just tack on 5 minutes to one flight’s leave time.
Of course, los gatos were excited to see us home again…
…today was supposed to be a holiday decoration day but we didn’t quite finish our organization project before we left so it’s delayed by a day or two. Granted it will take all of 10 minutes to decorate our 700-square-foot apartment.
Now that Christmas is the next holiday, it’s perfectly acceptable to listen to holiday music at any time of day. Let’s be real, we really were listening to it when it flipped 12:01 a.m. on Friday as we went Black Friday shopping. (Yes, we were those people… even though we said we weren’t going to do it.)
And, since Christmas is the next holiday, lots of exciting stuff coming up. 1) Kick ass training for Houston Marathon (details tomorrow) 2) my wanna-be list of Oprah’s favorite things for runners and non-runners (next Saturday and Sunday!) and 3) giveaways for Virtual Race for Hurricane Sandy participants (there’s still time to sign up!).
Do you have your holiday decorations up? Are you a fan of Christmas music? When do you start listening to it?
