Yesterday I was in Allentown in Pennsylvania for work and it was a really long day. We actually left Tuesday night after work, drove the two hours there, worked all day yesterday and then drove two hours back.
At least I can say that I’ve driven through rush hour traffic in Manhattan now… 🙂 It really wasn’t that bad yesterday but I can’t imagine doing that on a daily business. Even though the transit here has it’s issues, it is much better than driving and worrying about having a car. We did get a really cool view of the full moon:
(this picture really doesn’t do it justice, but it looked SO cool… it was HUGE! The moon is right there behind the Empire State Building)
Of course, this week I said I was hitting it hard for Houston… but the hotel (right off the interstate) had the tiniest gym ever with only three machines that were already packed. Boo.
So I went back to my room and made up my own workout:
My arms are SO sore today… two minutes of push ups is killer! And I even had to switch to “girly” version otherwise I would have ended up doing like three. If I did this workout again, I would probably do two rounds with each exercise at one minute each.
This morning was time to hit the road running again. I had big goals this week, upping my mileage to 7 and 8 miles on T/W/Th but it just didn’t happen. I was super tired from yesterday so ended up lounging in bed for a bit longer than I wanted to… so only had time to do a four miler. I did try out my new “capris” from MPG:
“Capris” in that you probably have to be six feet tall to have these fit as that length. They work great as pants on me though and are super comfortable and the right amount of warm. More on that later. 🙂
Anyways, I really wish I would have won the Powerball so I would never have to say “I only had time…” or “there isn’t enough time to…” Well and because then I would have a LOT of money. Can’t forget that part.
Oh! And I can’t forget to mention that my super awesome package came from Oiselle yesterday…
So in love with everything I got! More details on it later. 🙂 (Let’s just say I’m coordinating my outfit for work today so I can wear my new runfinity scarf!)
Do you like to drive? Did you buy a ticket for last night’s big Powerball drawing?
