Have you seen this video? If you are a fan of cats and/or dogs, you will laugh.
Last night I went to bed telling myself that I was going to get up when my alarm went off instead of lollygagging around in bed for 10 minutes and then spending the rest of the morning rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off.
It actually worked. I heard C’s alarm go off, which never happens, even though it goes off exactly two minutes before mine. I was up and out of bed within a few minutes and had time to squeeze in a rainy seven miler this morning. The Weather Channel totally lied and said that it was cloudy out so I was not expecting a cold mist hitting my face when I got out the door.
I sped up while I was in the park so it was sort of a tempo run. I tried to focus on the whole “making myself uncomfortable” thing, but my contact decided to make me really uncomfortable so I forgot about my pace for a bit.
I almost feel like when you start running at a tempo pace, it’s hard to shut it off so the last mile of my run was also at tempo. And of course, I had to continue my progress in the 2012 Closeout Challenge:
- 7 miles running
- 40 squats
- 10 burpees
Just for fun, I threw in a 1:15 plank. Bring it, Houston!
And lastly, the winner of the awesome “Friends” giveaway is…
