I cannot believe that next weekend is the weekend before Christmas already! GOOD news, my passport came on Friday! So now I can stop freaking out as I finally have an ID that matches my “new” name. Phew.

Anyways, this weekend was super busy because we were trying to finish up Christmas shopping (every year I say I’ll start earlier, but I think I really start later and later) and Santa came to visit us early!

Yep, we got a Sodastream. Kind of a belated wedding gift to ourselves too. Actually, I had never thought about getting one of these until C started talking about it. I thought it was just being able to make your own soda (which it is) and there were no other benefits. There are some really awesome health benefits. I’ve talked about my addiction to soda for a long time and how it’s hard to quit (I have no willpower when it comes to the green stuff) but know it’s so bad for you. With the amount of calories, sugar and not to mention high fructose corn syrup, it’s dumb that I drink it.

So what I found out this weekend is that Sodastream actually has less calories and sugar and NO high fructose corn syrup! I think they should publicize that more.

We tried “Fountain Mist” first — the replacement for Mountain Dew. It was good, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

It didn’t taste like Mountain Dew but it was a good citrus-y soda. We also had “Dr. Pete” (any guesses what that replaces?) last night and this was awesome. I would give it an 8.9 out of 10. C said that he liked Fountain Mist better.

I’m excited to try the other flavors — they have basically everything under the sun, including some Country Time lemonades.

In addition to playing with our new toy, we spent the day watching football. Way to rock it out, Packers.

We found out that it’ll be 23* at the game next weekend. BRR! Thank goodness for super warm running gear…

Does Santa surprise you with any gifts? Do you have a Sodastream or have you tried it? Love it? Favorite flavor?
