We are back!

Thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement! I had a blast running the Houston Marathon, it seems like each race reminds me why I started running in the first place and is such a great way to get inspired (not to mention all the amazing people you meet and see along the way). I promise a race recap will be posted later today, I was hoping to do it yesterday but I was too exhausted to do much of anything once we got home.

Here’s one picture from the race (in case you didn’t see it on Facebook):

And if you can believe it, our flight actually landed EARLY. I don’t think this has ever happened in the history of us living in New York! I am so happy that I took yesterday off work, sometimes I try to work the day after the marathon (like right after the Brooklyn Marathon) and it is hard to do.

Last mention of Houston before the recap: I must say that I haven’t been this exhausted or sore from a marathon for awhile, my hamstrings are screaming at me and I’m sure I could sleep for another four hours. That’s what the weekend is for, right? I take this all as a sign that I really did leave it all out on the course and I can’t wait to do it all over again in about three months in Boston.

Since I found the perfect position to lay on the couch last night (lazy bones) so that I wouldn’t feel sore, we started to catch up on our shows. I also spent some time with my favorite accessory ever:

… and found out that sometimes even cats have DOMS:

Anyways, when it comes to shows, we are SUPER behind, like just watching Christmas shows now, and I fell in love with this song on Parenthood (do you watch this show? It’s so amazing) last night:

I will be looking this guy up on Spotify today to see how his other music is.

What’s your favorite way to recover from a race? Do you watch Parenthood? What’s your favorite TV show right now (please no spoilers!)?
