Super Bowl menu planning

The Super Bowl is only a week away so that means it’s time to get priorities straight… figuring out our menu! This is, after all, one of the best parts of the Super Bowl… seeing what amazing recipes you can finally get a chance to use.
Usually we have a few appetizers and then after halftime, we make sub sandwiches at home — which is actually pretty cheap and easy to do. We usually buy French bread from the grocery store and then top it with ham, swiss, lettuce, tomato and I usually add onions and pickles too. YUM.
And it means we usually have enough leftovers to make some for lunch during the week.
That means there are still a few outstanding menu items… I like to try to make our food on the healthier side because there’s nothing worse than chowing down and gaining 3 pounds over a few quarters of football.
I know that this is definitely going to be our dessert this year:
I made this over the holidays and it was so. good. So hard to believe that three ingredients can be that amazing. And it’s healthy(er) too!
Five-layer Mexican dip is usually a standby on our menu too. I like to make it with a layer of refried beans, sour cream (reduced fat), cheese, lettuce and tomato.
I am debating about whether to make these pizza pretzel bites from Two Peas & Their Pod:
Definitely not the healthiest, but how amazing do they look and sound?!
What are your Super Bowl traditions?
What do you eat for the big game?
Who are you cheering for? Since my Packers didn’t make it, I’ll be cheering for the Ravens.

Cheering for the Ravens too since they knocked out my Packers as well! && because I find Ray Lewis’s story to be inspirational & I hope he goes out with a bang this year.
Exactly our feelings! Plus there are some great players on the Ravens team like Ed Reed that deserve a Super Bowl
