Thank you for all of your kind words yesterday… you really made me feel a lot better! It is what it is, and there will definitely be more races (with lots of alarms set before hand).
After yesterday’s busted start to the day, it got much better… I made some fantastic applesauce (pictures later) and got to spend a lot of time on a blanket I am crocheting for a friend’s baby:
Too many people are expecting in March! This means I will be quite busy with projects. (I like to make things difficult and make homemade things rather than going shopping… ha.)
We also headed to the Super Ball. Like I mentioned yesterday, we went to this last year and had a blast. We went about 30 minutes after the start and the place was PACKED… like where we didn’t want to stay packed. Luckily we were able to find seats (most people were just walking around eating) so we could sit and enjoy the event. We ended up trying 9 different meatballs and were absolutely stuffed at the end.

It was a BBQ veal thing with a blueberry sauce and coleslaw?! Who knew blueberries could be such a good sauce for BBQ. People were super creative with the meatballs this year… the one that won was on a Chinese steamed dumpling?
Usually I despise Mondays with a passion, but I was excited today because I started my new training plan! This week’s schedule is:
- Monday: Easy 6 miles
- Tuesday: 3 x 1600 + 600 recovery (run 1-1.5 miles before and after)
- Wednesday: OFF
- Thursday: 7 miles (tempo)
- Friday: Easy 6 miles
- Saturday: Easy 10 miles
- Sunday: Easy 10 miles
This is going to be different than my typical training plan (been using since we moved to NYC) where I run 4-6 miles during the week, long run on Saturday and then rest days on Friday and Sunday. I am excited to see how it goes!
