Thank you to everyone who came out and ran last night with Lululemon’s Meatpacking Run Club! It was an amazing night and I had so much fun trying out my new top from Lulu.

I must admit: I was super nervous to lead this run. It is the first one I ever did and you can’t help but worry about if people like the workout that you put together.

Last night we ran down the West Side Highway for a little more than three miles. To keep it interesting, we had five circuit training stops. These were random along the way and we did the following exercises:

  • Push ups
  • Squats
  • Mountain climbers
  • Flutter kicks
  • Jumping jacks

 

It was a great way to get the group back together and recalibrate. I think everyone had a good time! Especially if you measure it in the amount everyone was sweating. Because it was a really sweaty run.

Anyways, I have finally hit that stage of “I don’t want to do this anymore” in marathon training (I seriously need to write a post about these stages). Of course, I still love running but I am to the point where I am ready for race day to be here. At least mentally. The workouts are getting a little tougher, which is awesome because I know it will make me stronger. But I must admit, mentally, I’ve been struggling a little bit.

This morning was 12 miles and I was a little like “meh” when I realized I needed to get out of bed to do it. It was a good run overall, a little slow for the last few miles. When it’s humid, I always get insane cravings for water about halfway through a run. Like you could probably charge me $20 for a bottle of water and I would pay it because I want it so bad.

Good thing I have this guy, because he helps keep an eye on water levels.

 

What was your favorite group run ever? Why?

Anything weird you crave on your runs? During marathons, I always crave Coca Cola around mile 16 or 17. Houston Marathon is super smart because they actually have some at the finish!

Cat people: Is your cat obsessed with water? Jax has serious issues… his chest and front paws are always soaked after drinking water from the bowl.
