I had big plans this weekend to go running… but well, it didn’t happen.
Something under my right ankle is hurting. So not cool. C think that it might be something with the tendon, tendonitis from overuse? I think it might be a random pain due to taper phase. Either way, I decided to group a few of my rest days together and take an extra day off.
This morning was my first morning back with an awesome eight miler in this beautiful fall weather:
It was great, but the pain came back after I was done running. And according to C, 4/5 on a 10-point pain scale is high (hey I thought anything under 5 was good!). Ruh roh. Let’s just hope that it goes away before NEXT WEEKEND! Yes, marathon day is next weekend. I am not sure if that is somehow crazier than the fact we are in our last full week of September.
So fingers crossed that this randomness goes away…
…and fingers crossed that I hear good news from B.A.A. tomorrow. They are finally going to let us “squeakers” know if we are in for the 2014 Boston Marathon. I am assuming that I am not in 🙁 🙁 🙁 because speculation is that there are 8,000 applications vying for 5,000 spots.
In the meantime, I’ll just listen to this song because it makes me super happy:
