This is going to sound super ridiculous. But for our wedding, one of our good friends (hi Casey!) got us a Magic Bullet. And it sat in a box for over a year. Now that we have a kitchen with space (<— warning, this is going to be a common theme for awhile), we can finally use it!

I made pizza last night (just your run of the mill mozzarella and pepperoni) but forgot to buy sauce. I was too lazy to make my way to the grocery store so found this recipe online and figured out that it would be a great opportunity to try out the Magic Bullet. Holy amazing. I love this thing! It is so easy and I love how compact it is. I am excited to try out some of the crazy recipes they have (seven second salsa? yes!).

And one other thing I’m trying… it’s not so new, but to get back on the plank a day train. I was doing so well on this and actually built myself up to two minutes. After our month long extravaganza of fun, abs went out the window. But now I’m back! Plus, I need to try and meet some of my 2013 goals.

Yesterday was a nice rest day, which I think my legs needed. I went out for the shorter loop I’ve created here (3 1/2 miles) and it was COLD.

 

Like 32* cold! I wasn’t expecting it to be that cold already… but no complaints. I’ll take it. 🙂

My legs did feel fresh when I started but started to tire out towards the end. I’ll take that as progress. Next up… finding my Timex watch so I can start tracking my runs again. Oh, and figuring out my Houston Marathon training plan? Apparently that little race is only 10 weeks away.
