Today was such an excellent day: it’s a rest day! Don’t get me wrong, I am loving my training plan but there is something wonderful about rolling out of bed at 7:30 a.m. compared to 5:21 a.m.

Tomorrow I’m back at it with an 11 mile run — I know, sometimes I wonder how in the world I still have energy to make it to work afterwards! 

Anyways, in honor of giving my body a break from running today, I think I’m going to step it up and do a crosstraining routine tonight. This has been the one thorn in my side that I haven’t mastered this training cycle and I know it’s hurting me. {here come my excuses}

It’s just that after running SO much, you kinda need a break from the whole sweat sesh thing, right? But anyways, I need to get on it! Only ~9 weeks to go until marathon day and these t-rex arms need all the help that they can get.
