I hope everyone had a fabulous and super relaxing weekend! As I mentioned before, I consider this the farewell to summer, but friends in Texas have warned me… not so fast. Apparently we’ll have summer weather until like October…? 

As the last “official” month of the summer, August was pretty stellar… some key highlights:

















…especially in terms of running. 



After I made this graphic, I realized that I’m missing about ~7 miles when my Garmin shut down mid-long run a few weeks ago. So, about 190+ miles for the month. This is the first time I’ve tracked my milage, and it was pretty cool to see how much time/miles. 

And an update on my goals overall: 

1. PR in every distance

  • Totally slacking on this one… I will have a busy fall racing to make this happen!


2. Strengthen and stretch

  • The foam roller (Enso) has become my BFF. I actually did a one-minute plank last week. Does that count, too? 




3. Read one book a month


4. Continue to embrace my craftiness

  • The crochet-a-long is going awesome… I am slowly catching up. 
  • A few other projects are on my list… hopefully sharing them in September!


5. Get in a better financial state

  • Still working on those nasty credit cards… ugh.
