So I officially signed up for the 2,015 miles in 2015 challenge with Run the Edge yesterday!
You can do it as solo (how I’m doing it… about 5.5 miles per day on average) or you can do it with a team. It’s not too late to sign up! If you think you might be interested, you can register here. It’s a virtual race so you get a virtual race packet with lots of goodies, and there are monthly giveaways throughout the year. I also opted for the medal and shirt!
I skipped the run yesterday (literally didn’t change out of my pajamas until 7 p.m. and only because we had to drive back to Austin… such a great lazy day!), but kicked it off this morning with five miles.
Since I wasn’t getting dressed in the dark, I paid extra attention to my running socks… making sure they were on the right foot. P.S. I am not sure what the point is of this?
I knocked out five easy miles. It felt a little rough, which makes me remember to keep my goals in check for the Houston Marathon. The past few weeks have been crazy so I haven’t been running as much as I should, especially with a pending marathon. We shall see how this race goes… more on those goals later. 🙂
And one last thing to leave you with today… I saw this on Facebook and love it! So very true… it’s up to each one of us to make this the BEST year of our lives. After all, life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. I am looking forward to all the great things that will happen this year!
Anyone working today? If you’re on vacation, how are you spending your day?
