When it comes to feeling sick, I am totally like Monica:
It takes a lot for me to admit that I’m sick and not feeling well. I’m still convinced that whatever type of cold I have going on will be gone ASAP. So far it’s just a sore throat… and nothing else. Hence why I’m getting up early this morning to squeeze 12 miles in before work. Wish me luck!
My training plan went a little crazy this week (I am using the in-between marathons from Advanced Marathoning) and yesterday I had a 10 miler with 5 x 1000m at 5k pace with two minute jogs in between. I surprised myself at how speedy I was running them! I have never had a strong 5k (I feel like they are too short), but if I could whip out that 7:10-7:15 pace that I had this morning, that would be pretty epic.
Oh, and just a side note. You don’t have to do your sprint workout at the track! Obviously it makes life a lot easier, but I ran on the boardwalk, which is pretty straight and flat. So, even though it was pitch dark out, I didn’t have to worry about tripping over a random root or something on the trail.
So anyways, that sprint workout yesterday + this workout today? That’s 22 miles in a matter of 24 hours! A little crazy. But, it’s the crazy that makes you stronger, right? Plus, I’m working towards a rest day tomorrow. A whole extra two hours of sleep in the morning? YES PLEASE.
And speaking of crazy. I am crazy in love with these trucker hats from PRO Compression. (I have such a weird obsession with these types of hats lately, don’t ask!)
What’s on your training docket this week?
Are you a trucker hat person? Hat person in general?
