A few weeks ago, I received some exciting news… PROBAR wanted me to join their ambassador team!
I am not sure how I found out about the brand, but a few months ago, I tried my first bar from them: the PROBAR bite. I am always a little skeptical about bars because I always feel like they taste a little “off”… like you know that there aren’t that many real ingredients in them. (I finally tried the Quest bars that people rave about on Instagram… ugh, seriously? Unless I got a bad flavor, I couldn’t eat more than two bites!)
PROBAR completely took me by surprise because yes, they have real ingredients… and they taste so good! They recently sent me one of their variety packs to try out a bunch of their items, which is a great way to get a taste for what you love!
For the bars, I love the mixed berry flavor… well, basically any of the berry flavors. I’ve also branched out and tried the peanut butter chocolate chip and it is amazing… just the right balance of all the flavors to make it taste a little bit like a dessert treat.
I also tried one of their meal replacement bars the other day when I didn’t have time to make a lunch or go out to grab lunch during the day. Again, the skeptic in me (thanks Dad) made me think that a) it was not going to keep me full and b) it was not going to taste good.
Man, I was completely wrong! I actually stayed full longer than I do for some normal lunches, ha.
So if you’re looking for a good snack food or even a bar that you can have in case of an emergency (yes, no lunch is an emergency!), definitely check these babies out. I still have to try their protein bars, so stay tuned.
I’ve now officially entered taper phase..
So yes, that’s exactly how you feel for the first… few days? And then this happens.
And then you realize that maybe taper just isn’t that fun.
