As you can tell, I am really loving this three things Thursday thing. Thursdays are my favorite day of the week already, and I think this just makes it even better.
I thought this article from Running Times was really interesting:
First, I don’t know if I would call running a marathon mainstream just yet. I think the last stats I’ve heard said that it was about 1% of the total population has ever run a marathon. I mean, it does feel like everyone in the running community has run a marathon, but that’s a small sample size.
Someday, I’d love to run an ultra (maybe November?), but I feel like going 100 miles would be a HUGE jump and something I would have to (mentally) prepare for. Plus, that’s a lot of running. I’ve never run that far in a week, let alone one day!
So, with the forecast looking like this for Memorial Day weekend:
…we will need some indoor adventures to keep us entertained. Thankfully I was treated to an advanced release copy of McFarland USA:
I cannot wait to watch it because I have heard it’s SO good!
The other day when I was digging into the whole sugar thing, I found this infograph and it’s very interesting. Some great facts in here, many of them making me not really want to eat added sugars. But the scary thing is that they are EVERYWHERE and sometimes they can be hard to avoid. I don’t understand why some of the foods have sugar in them, especially those that aren’t sweet (like salad dressing?)?
What’s your favorite day of the week? What does your weekend forecast look like?
Have you watched McFarland USA? Favorite running/sport movie?
