Some people argue that summer doesn’t end until the fall equinox towards the end of September, but I always feel like summer comes to an end Labor Day weekend. For (most) schools (not in Texas), school starts right after Labor Day and that just seems like the final farewell. Of course, up in Wisconsin, you can start feeling that fall crispness in the air around this time… we won’t have that in Texas for another few months, if we’re lucky.

So, as we say goodbye to summer, I wanted to celebrate my favorite moments from the past few months…

Rocking a 5k PR at a Memorial Day race (and placing 2 in my AG!)…

Visiting the Brooks HQ in Seattle!

Hanging out with some awesome folks from Brooks, and the RunHappy Ambassador team (oh, and running the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Half Marathon!)…

Going to Vegas

And Utah

…and meeting up with my family in South Dakota

Traveling to Pittsburgh for the first time and finding this gem of a running trail

Visiting the favorite Jacob’s Well

Running marathon #19 (I think) in Santa Rosa…

Getting my hair cut! (after debating about it for weeks)

What were your favorite summer moments? When do kids start school by you?

When do you call the “end” of summer? What do you love about fall? <— everything!
