Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend with lots of fun stuff on the calendar. 🙂 I started my weekend early, on Friday, with a 20 miler that didn’t go so well (some of you may have seen that on Instagram). I’m not quite sure what is going on, but my last two long runs just haven’t been good. I haven’t hit my distances and just have no “oomph” physically or mentally to get there. I have two theories that I think may be causing this — more on that later this week. 

Topped off the weekend with some errands and the Bun Run 5k yesterday!

Speaking of races. The reason why I’ve been pushing it for 17 and 20 milers, I have another marathon on the the calendar!crazyrunninggirl.hillcountry 

I will be running the Hill Country Marathon in October. I am still debating about entering an ultra in November, and I thought as I go back and forth on that decision, this would be a good training run. I have no expectations, not shooting for a time or anything — it’s a SUPER hilly course (duh, hill country) and looks absolutely beautiful. I don’t think there’s a chance of PRing unless I have a really good day. 

It should be a fun race! Let’s just hope I can get my body/mind on board for it… 🙂
