Thank you all for your wonderful comments, advice and wishes yesterday on our anniversary! It’s crazy to think how fast the past three years flew by. One of my friends told me this once — that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end you get, the faster it goes. SO true! Just another reason to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. 🙂

This week has been crazy, in case you couldn’t tell by yesterday’s missing blog post. I have had a series of all-day meetings at work, which have been great, but exhausting… and accompanied with some after-work excursions. So, I’ve basically been getting home, going to bed and getting up to go and do it all over again.
That means my last week of marathon training has kinda went out the window… I did a 6 mile run on Monday, at an easy pace, which was lovely. I skipped Tuesday and Wednesday and am hoping to get in five miles this morning before heading in to work for a 7:30 a.m. meeting.
At least my legs will be super rested for my upcoming marathon. 😉 When I trained for the Madison Marathon, my first BQ, there was a crazy hurricane-like storm that hit Jacksonville so I was unable to train like I wanted. I think I ran two times, maybe three times, that week before and was freaking out.
But, this race is just for fun. I know… 26.2 miles for fun. An uncoventional marathon. Who says that?! I am excited to enjoy the cooler weather, beautiful views and just be out on the course. I’m sure my legs aren’t saying the same thing. 🙂
