Congrats to everyone who ran the NYC Marathon yesterday! I tuned in from home and loved being able to watch the leaders race the course.

NYC Marathon 2015

Even though I will likely never run NYC again, I still get a little sad knowing I’m not there. FOMO, am I right?

Our weekend started off with some crazy storms and flooding. At one point, the front screen of my phone looked like this:

It wasn’t so bad at my work, although watching the weather was super distracting. At one point, we were under a tornado warning. By time I headed home, the rain was gone and everyone else in the city had left so traffic was a breeze!

That night, we ventured across the street to try a new restaurant – MOD Pizza.

Apparently, it’s the latest in the fast casual craze where you can “customize” your meal and they make it right in front of you. I also read that it was started by a Starbucks executive. The thing I like about it, is that you can add as many ingredients as you want and it’ll be the same price.

They also had some garlic bread that was super good! I tried the Dominic and it was perfect for carb loading…

…you know, for all that non running I did this weekend. 🙂 Yep, decided to take the weekend off. I was planning on getting up on Saturday so I could run in my new Brooks Halloween socks, but it was storming so I turned my alarm off and went back to sleep. I decided to take advantage and give my body a rest for the entire weekend. I’m going to kick it into training gear for the Houston Marathon this week, and am trying a new training plan, which I’m excited to do.

Did you do anything for Halloween? What was your costume?

What’s your favorite restaurant? Do you like “fast casual”?
