So of course, all over the place are news and analysis about the Super Bowl. I am happy to see that the Broncos won; it definitely wasn’t an exciting game, but at least it wasn’t a blow out. I wasn’t in love with too many of the commercials, but I did love Kia’s shout out to PRO Compression.
It would have been even better if he had a PRO sock on his hand, amiright? 🙂
My favorite commercial though, in all seriousness, was probably the Slack commercial, which wasn’t even a new one for the night… but it’s the first time I’ve seen it and it was just adorable.
So, I started doing this a few months ago and then just stopped randomly… but bringing back the workouts in review! Last week was not a very strong week, but this will be it. More on that in a bit.
First of all, I did 0 Orangetheory classes this week… ugh.
Second of all, I ran twice: one 3 mile run on Tuesday and an 8 mile run on Saturday.
Kudos to that… mostly because this is more than I’ve done for a few weeks. (It is kinda heartbreaking right now to look at back at how much I was working out last summer getting ready for Santa Rosa Marathon…)
But like I said, this is it. I’m finally turning over a new leaf and this week, I’m getting back into the groove. I’m registered for Orangetheory on Wednesday and Friday. I plan to run today, Tuesday and Thursday.
Now that I’ve put it out there, I need to be accountable for it and actually do it. The one thing I’ve been struggling with lately is getting up early to go run. I wake up, look outside and it looks cold (for Texas) and dark, and just want to go back to bed. And then, instantly, when I wake up for real, I totally regret it and don’t get why it was so hard.
No excuses this week. None. Zero. Zippo.
