First of all, thank you for all of your kind words, texts and everything in between for yesterday’s post. It’s been quite the journey but I’m learning that’s what life is all about… you never know what it’s going to throw your way. 🙂 xoxo

I am VERY excited that this weekend I’ll be headed to Eugene, OR for my annual trip with the Brooks RunHappy Ambassadors! This is my second year as an ambassador and I am so lucky and thankful to be part of this great group!

We have a jam-packed schedule and it’s filled with TONS of amazing things. I will be sharing all of my adventures on Instagram, so check it out if you want to follow along!

Here are a few of the things I’m most excited about for this weekend!

1. Visiting Eugene, OR!

Oregon has always been on my list to visit (before the Twilight series too, I promise) and I am so excited to get out of this Texas heat and into the Pacific Northwest for a weekend adventure. I even got to pack a JACKET. This is something I won’t be able to wear in Austin for another five months, so be excited for me.

2. Hanging out with the Brooks RunHappy Ambassadors and crew!

I had such an amazing time last year with these ladies, and can’t wait to spend the weekend catching up on all things blogging, running and everything in between.

3. Olympic Track Trials

A major reason why we are going to Eugene is so that we can watch the U.S. Olympic Track Trials. LIVE. How amazing is that?! I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity… it’s going to be incredible!

4. Running in Eugene!

Eugene is such a historical place when it comes to running and I’m excited to run the trails as many of the great runners have done before! I’ve only run a few times since Grandma’s Marathon, and this weekend will be a good reason to get back into it (especially since this dumb summer cold is gone!).

5. The best excuse to live in running clothes for a weekend!

Hiking in Austin, TX | Crazy Running Girl

I started a new tradition earlier this year where I don’t wear jeans on the weekend if I can help it. Who needs them when running pants and capris are so comfy?! I will be living in my running clothes this weekend and so very pumped to have the best excuse to do so.

I must admit, I am a little sad that I’ll be leaving the Jeep behind for its first weekend home! I think it’ll survive, right!?

What are you looking forward to this weekend?! Do you travel for the 4th of July?

What’s your favorite state to visit in the U.S.? What state do you want to visit?
