One of the things I am most excited about moving back to Minnesota about this time of year is FALL. I absolutely love fall and everything that comes along with it… and it’s been one of the struggles I’ve had from living in the south, both in Texas and Florida. It’s just not the same watching football when you’re wearing flip flops and a tank top. (I know people who live down here will argue with me and say that it’s so much better than dealing with snow, but we’ll just call it differences in our opinions.)
I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe that opened up to me with the move and I need to explore what that all includes! Luckily, Sweat Pink hooked me up with some new items from prAna’s fall line to try out. This is the first time that I’ve tried this company’s clothing line.
The Mattea Sweater
There’s nothing better than enjoying a fall day while wearing a solid hoodie or sweater. I opted to try the Mattea Sweater, which isn’t a hoodie but has some unique style to it — like the cut on the bottom and the cowl.
I love that, even though it’s made from recycled wool, it’s not super thick — perfect for those warmer fall days.
I opted for a size small so I could have it more fitted; but if you prefer baggy sweaters, I think the Mattea Sweater would still look great if you ordered up a size. I would definitely recommend this if you love the comfort of a hoodie, but want to dress it up a little bit for a night out.
The Kara Jean
Jeans are my weakness, but it’s really hard for me to find a good fit. I blame it on the runner thighs and the fact that I am shorter than the majority of the population (5’2″).
I am partial to boot cuts/flares, mostly because that was the style for so long when I was growing up, but I’ve started to get in to skinny jeans lately because they are super comfy and I still love how stylish they can be. The Kara Jean definitely fits the bill as this, but they are a little long for someone as short as me:
The good news? They roll up easily and look great with a pair of Toms (<— new obsession as well).
I love that the Kara Jean comes in a variety of colors and that they have a little stretch to them, but not so much that I know I’ll have a saggy butt after a few wears (HATE that). This pair is in charcoal, and I love the color!

Please note, this is a sponsored post in that I received these items to try for free in exchange for my opinion. These thoughts are my own.
