Happy happy Friday! I am so looking forward to this weekend… it’s very low key with a few plans with friends, but nothing too crazy — so I’m excited to catch up on sleep and just relax. That’s the first for a long time, right!?
I was so bummed when Courtney and team ended Friday Five… it was one of my favorite ways to wrap up the week! But I love that Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness have brought it back to life with version 2.0. Today’s theme is five things about me… ready, GO!
1. I used to be REALLY shy.
Anyone who knows me today would think that this is just crazy because I am pretty extroverted. When I was younger, I always had my nose in a book and would have rather read than actually talked to people. When I was in 4th grade, my teacher told my parents that they needed to get me involved in a hobby so I started piano lessons. Now I talk so much that I’m not sure they agree that was the best idea. 😉
2. I don’t like chocolate.
I know, weird. I will eat it *sometimes* if it’s with peanut butter (Reese’s peanut butter cups) or if I want something sweet and there’s no other options, but that’s very rare. I just hate the taste that it leaves in my mouth! Gross.
3. I’ve never watched an episode of The Simpsons.
My sister (who likes to act like my mom sometimes ;)) would never let me watch it. So, to this day, I still haven’t watched an episode of The Simpsons. And to be honest, I don’t even know if I’d be able to start since there are so many seasons.
4. I didn’t get on a plane for the first time until I was 13.
This boggles my mind because I fly at least once a month now, and back then, I was so overwhelmed about it and had no idea what it was like! I think I was almost 20 when I flew for the second time in my life. I do think part of this has changed because flying is so much cheaper than it used to be. I wish that I could say that security has gotten easier over the years. 😉
5. I LOVE the holiday season!
Last year was a little rough around this time of year so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I like, but I am SO excited that the holidays are just around the corner. I will not judge you if you start decorating for Christmas right now because I want to, too. And Elf is by far the best holiday movie that you can watch. I cannot wait to start watching it on a weekly (or several times a week) basis.
