Woohooo it’s almost here! I leave for the RnR Las Vegas Marathon tonight so that I can hit up the expo tomorrow and get ready for the race on Sunday. This will be my third marathon in the past six weeks (boosting that Marathon Maniacs status… :)) and I’m starting to feel like the name of this blog is very appropriate for me.

How did I get here? Well, it’s all Melissa’s fault really. She told me that she had a hotel room already booked and that I could stay with her. That was all I needed to be like “Hmm… another marathon? Sounds fun!” Luckily flights to Vegas are super cheap (but I’m anticipating not super fun; hello redeye a few hours after the race ends).

Actually, I started thinking about running RnR Las Vegas Marathon a few years ago because I saw everyone posting about it on social media and got major race FOMO. Plus, I haven’t yet committed to it, but I am starting to lean more and more towards running 50 marathons in 50 states. So, why not knock a few out before I actually commit!?

Now let’s talk about goals.

It’s not a race if you don’t set a goal, even if it’s not one where you are shattering your personal records.

So my goals.

Have an amazing time.

Flashback to Las Vegas | Crazy Running Girl

It’s Vegas!

Well, actually, I’ve never been super in love with Vegas. Recently, I went for some music festivals so never really got to experience Vegas the way that you should. I’m hoping that this trip will change my feelings for it a bit… and also save over some of those old memories so I can think about fresh, new, fun ones. 😉

…that goes for the race too.

I truly have no goals for this race… honestly, I’d love to go under four hours, but I have no idea how my body is going to react because the most marathons I’ve run in six weeks has been two. So, who knows what is going to happen. Maybe I’ll blow up around mile 4? I mean that would be awful and I really hope that doesn’t happen, but honestly, I just don’t know.

Meet some blogger friends!

With Melissa | Crazy Running GirlPlus, hanging out with old blogger friends 😉

There are SO many people coming to this race — and I’m so excited to meet some of my running blogger friends in person finally, like Kimberly! I think we first started chatting after a Secret Santa holiday gift ornament exchange… and that was a few years ago! YAY for putting a real life face with a name. 🙂

Who else is running RnR Las Vegas?! Any tips?

Do you like Vegas? Any recommendations for what to do?
