It’s starting to feel a lot like spring here in Minneapolis, and I’m loving it! I love seeing the green grass everywhere and just can’t wait until the trees match.
As I mentioned on Friday, my sister, niece and nephew came into town for the weekend and we had a packed weekend…
Racing at MB2 Raceway.
Having the kids try sushi for the first time (Alyssa was NOT all smiles afterwards…).
Trying to make friends with Apollo.
Heading out to Interstate State Park…
…for lots of hiking adventures.
Followed up by lunch in Stillwater.
Prepping for Goldys Run (10 miler).
Not getting punched by my sister the last mile of the race was a success. 😉
Hitting up the Mall of America + IKEA for some shopping adventures.
And finishing it up with ice cream + a view.
All in all, it was a great weekend and I can’t wait til they come back again when the weather is even nicer so we can hang out in the sun even more.
But before that —> BOSTON IS ONE WEEK AWAY!!!
So very excited to hit up the city and oh yeah, that little thing called a marathon. 😉 We won’t talk about how much taper is driving me crazy but instead, a recap of this week’s workouts:
Tu: rest day
We: 7 miles @ 9:16 avg pace
Th: rest day
Fr: 8 miles with 3 miles at 5k pace (8:37 avg pace)
Sa: 5 miles with 6×100 stride outs
Su: 10 mile Goldy Run with my sister + 2 miles
Mo: rest day
Total: 32 miles
This week is going to be pretty low-key, minus that whole having to travel for work Wednesday-Friday. Beyond that, lots of hydrating, eating good food and catching up on that whole sleep thing… oh, and maybe obsessing over the weather just a little bit. 😉
