The best thing about having a holiday in the middle of the week? It feels like it’s extra short! I can’t believe that it’s already Thursday.
If you saw on Instagram, I was up north this weekend for the 4th of July and caught a monster fish.
Seriously, the biggest fish I’ve ever caught! 32″ Northern Pike…
But let’s get real: Now of course, I have to try to beat that, right? 😉 In a couple weeks, I’m headed further up north in Minnesota to try out some musky fishing. I have never fished for musky before and I think if I get one, I might fall out of the boat… mostly from excitement, but also because they are ginormous fish and that will take a lot to reel one in.
I’ve been in a funk
I don’t know what it is, but I feel like I’ve been in a little bit of a funk with the blog and social media.
It might be a little bit of writer’s block.
Or maybe just more of living in the moment and not having my phone with me 24/7.
I mean, it is summer after all and my first summer back in the Midwest for years… which are the best summers out there. 😉
So let’s get real: I’m rolling with it… so sorry if there are less posts than usual or they go up a bit late.
I’m ready to get back to running!
I took the last few weeks off from running for a few reasons… 1, marathon recovery (which I’m generally not very good at) and 2, I was suffering from an injury (I think I pulled my groin muscle during the last few weeks of training for Grandma’s and it was on fire after the race). I’ve ran once since then and it was a little bit rough (although the scenery was amazing)… so let’s hope that this injury healed up and I can get back to training because…
Let’s get real: The Golden Ultra is getting closer by the day and I have a LOT of work to put in to survive!
