Hey guys! I can’t believe that it’s already Thursday and halfway through July! Yikes! Sorry for the late post today but I am already starting to feel the wrath of ultramarathon training, aka not having enough time in the world. Seriously, sometimes I wish I could get by on like four hours of sleep so I can get more done. 

But anyways! Just wanted to highlight a few things today —> 

I signed up for my next marathon!

Paavo Nurmi Marathon | Crazy Running Girl

 

As I was building out my ultramarathon training plan, it made sense to add in a marathon as a training run at some point… and luckily, the Paavo Nurmi Marathon in Hurley, Wis., fell right into place! I will be running this race exactly one month from today and am looking forward to it. It is the longest running marathon in Wisconsin and is said to be quite beautiful. Now just to reign in my legs so I don’t go out way too fast. 😉

Earlier this week, I had the chance to hangout with the Brooks product team and see some of the new gear they are launching this fall. They have some super sweet gear coming your way but I am most excited about this hoodie jacket in the picture above (the pink!)… it looks so cozy and warm and I know I have to add it to my collection. 

 

I’m going muskie fishing!

Celebrating the biggest fish I've ever caught in my life | Crazy Running Girl

 

Hey remember that big fish that I caught over 4th of July? I’m going to hopefully catch an even bigger one next weekend. I’m headed up to Lake Vermillion in northern Minnesota to fish on a lake that’s known for its muskies. My niece somehow nearly caught one of these when she was like three (apparently it really liked her worm, but I really think it was her Disney Princess fishing pole) and it would be amazing to catch one… although I might get too excited and fall out of the boat. 

The interesting thing with muskie fishing is that it’s a super heavy rod and bait… so it’s seriously like a workout! I’ve been amping up my arm + shoulder + back workouts in hopes that I don’t end up with a back spasm a few hours in. 😉
