I’m Lora, a 20-something-year-old exploring New York City by day and living in Brooklyn by night. I’m originally from Wisconsin and made my way to NYC after living in Minnesota and Florida. I always dreamed of living in NYC and finally had the chance when we decided to leave Florida. So far, it’s been amazing!

I love to run, plain and simple. I’ve been running most of my life – since high school to be exact, when I had a bit of a weight problem – and fell in love with marathons in 2006. Since then, I’ve kinda gotten obsessed with racing and try to squeeze in as many races as possible.

I started this blog to share my adventures in running with you and to meet great people who share the same passions as me! It’s evolved to become much more than that. I talk a lot about my husband… we are newlyweds (married in October 2012) but have been together longer than some people’s marriages (nine years).

    Wow, congrats on all your amazing racing achievements, such an inspiration!

    I have yet to do my first half marathon, but it’s my next goal and I can’t wait to get into it :)

    I love finding other bloggers who are just as passionate about running as I am, and you totally understand it whereas most people would think we’re crazy ;)

    I just found your blog and love it!

    My sister lives in Brooklyn and she and my dad just signed up for the Brooklyn Half in May! I am so jealous I couldn’t do it…. we live in Indiana and I couldn’t get Friday off work to go!

    Anyways I really enjoy your posts and love reading up on your races! I am currently considering the Phillidelphia Marathon in the Fall? Any thoughts on it? Good or bad?

      Thanks for stopping by and reading!! That's awesome that your Dad is going to run the Brooklyn Half! It's such a fun race!! :) Ooh you should totally do the Philly Marathon!! I've heard nothing but good stuff about the race and its definitely on my wish list. :)
